Protecting Students' Rights During Covid-19: Cardozo Law School Panel Event on Thursday, January 21

Updated: Jun 24, 2022

I will be participating in Cardozo Law School's Protecting Students' Rights To A Free And Appropriate Public Education During COVID-19 panel event on Thursday, January 21 at 12:00 p.m. The event is part of Cardozo's Public Interest Law Advocacy Week.

The panel will be conducted via Zoom and I am excited to reconnect with my alma mater, albeit virtually. I will be joined on the panel by my colleagues Arshi Pal, attorney at the law firm Littman Krooks, and Kathryn Krase, attorney and professor at Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work.

Some topics to be addressed include:

  • What does the practice of special education law look like in the era of Covid?

  • What constitutes meaningful educational progress in light of the pandemic?

  • How have school district policies and practices changed?

  • What litigation resulting from or related to the pandemic should you be aware of?

Here is the event information for those who are interested in attending:
